Sacred Cantics (CDs)

Navigation hints:

These shelves will include some CD recordings of sacred cantics in Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Some of the Greek and Latin albums may contain some chants celebrating Mary as the "mother of God", etc. Protestants will not agree with such mariology, but the beauty and profoundness of the many other cantics make these CDs still worth buying.
Any modern person can profit from these cantics as background music, but to really appreciate their beauty one needs to delve into the original text, and use it to follow the cantics. This is why the presence on the accompanying booklet of the original text and of its translation may be an important feature to take into consideration.
