Being registered at the chamber of commerce of the Hague, our foundation is a non-profit organization that is entitled to practive commercial activities.This shop is also financially beneficial for us, so by shopping at our site, you also contribute to supporting our foundation.
Our shop is runned in association with online-stores, They give us a small amount (5 - 15%) of the price (which remains the same for the customer) for each book ordered through our site. Simply follow the links to the books, order them when you have accessed them on Amazon through our links. If there is no link for a given book, please use the search boxes or our links to their homepages. You do not need to check out right away, as long as the items remain in your shopping basket you can come later, add some more books and then ccheck out. You will need a credit card if you are ordering overseas. The online stores full responsability for issues such as ordering, billing and delivery. Would you exceptionnally have a problem, please refer to them and not to us.
As we have it is more advantageous (price, delivery time) to order a book locally, we are linking with different stores, Amazon.com and B & N (Barnes and Nobles) in the US, Amazon UK for the UK and Proxis for continental Europe. Should a book not be available at the closest store then you should look at another store. Amazon US has the largest catalog, but exceptionnally some books may be available in Europe and not in the US. Proxis has the smallest catalog of English books, and some Proxis links may often fail (look then at Amazon UK, and then Amazon US or B & N)
With these shelves we are presenting a selection of the finest books. This is not to say that the books selected are perfect, nor that we agree with 100% of their contents, but they represent what we think are the best books in print.
For each book, we have trying to provide a picture of the cover, the
bibliographic information, the possibility of ordering both in the US and in
Europe, a rating for the difficulty, and sometimes the contents of the books and
a review. We have tried to select book in all ranges of difficulty, from the
fun/easy ones to the research works.
Here are our difficulty rating:
1 = very easy
2 = popular
3 = academic
4 = difficult
5 = research
(Each of these pages will open in a new window, this present page will remain behind. We do not have the time to put all the books at once, we will slowly add them, so that our shop will keep growing; so you may come frequently to look at the new additions)
